Does This Make Sense To You?

For over thirty years Flora Thornley kept secret from her family the fact that she had a daughter out of wedlock. Now she decides to make contact with the child. But nothing has prepared her for the bombshell of the letter that comes from Chloe:

I just want to know how a woman could give away her baby…

Now noting can stay the same — except perhaps the past, which returns like a blow to the heart. Meanwhile Flora’s family life is a shambles. her husband Mike is having it off with Verna Ford. her grown-up children don’t appreciate her. Flora has had enough.

Renee’s Does This Make Sense To You? is a story of almost inconceivable cruelty set against compassion and laughter, and the need for courage to set aside wrongs.

Snowball Waltz

Snowball Waltz

The Snowball Waltz. The music starts, two people invited by the Master (or in this case, Mistress) of Ceremonies begin to waltz. When the music stops they separate and seek other partners from those sitting or standing around the edge of the dance floor. No one invited to dance may refuse, although when the music next stops, a dancer may leave the floor and not extend the invitation to dance to anyone else. They may not dance again in this particular Snowball Waltz.

The pattern of music, dance, silence, separation, music, dance, silence, separation, is repeated until all the people in the room are up and waltzing. The Snowball Waltz then continues with the same partners until the music stops, the dance ends and the dancers go their separate ways.
